Eritrean Human Rights Defenders have written a letter to the Mayor of The Hague to call on the authorities to cancel a demonstration that has been called by the Eritrean ‘fourth front’ regime supporters. We have warned that the action is one with a military character which has been organised on instruction directly from Eritrea. The fourth front wants to combat justice seekers and get control over Eritrean refugees.
We urgently ask the mayor to cancel this so-called “demonstration” because it is a military action, which is directed and ordered by the highest General Filipos in Asmara and has been announced in official media of the regime. We also ask the mayor to cancel this action because it is directly threatening and sows and incites hatred further violence.
